Why Photojournalists manipulate their pictures
Photojournalist may manipulate the photos they have taken for several reasons, such as political propaganda, attempted to "fixing" the images, and many more. When photographers take pictures, they are willing to publish their own work on. According to BBC article, Fiona Macdonald explain how rise of press photo manipulation caused by having photos been photoshopped from 19th century propaganda to 21st century digital era. Not only photo manipulation effect on photography industry, but it will also affect various mainstream media in the industry, such as news, entertainment, social platforms, and television. In Marc Davis article, photojournalists use computer software to alter images to make it seem like it's eye-catching, even Motus Creative Service points out when Industry standards forbidding any misrepresentation of products, ad services, and TV commercials.

When the world starts to change, but bias/unbiased reports will still remain the same depending on how photojournalism contains various stories. However, journalist would be using technology to manipulate the photos to hide their tracks.
Issues in Photojournalism (Objectivity)
In Photojournalism, Objectivity refers to be a practice to presenting to be fair and unbiased for photography. Photojournalists were challenged to finding the truth through risk taking in life situation, leading to uncovering the stories that can show the events, like 9/11 incident and Gaza war. If the photojournalist were using pictures that were completely biased, it would lack any source materials and be difficult to understand any events. According to the artsy article, National Press Photograph Association (NPPA) stated photojournalists must work to capture the moment, avoid presenting any work that can be biased, and forbidding staged photography. There might be few instances where photojournalists have attempted to break the rules, but all media platforms highlight how photojournalism has shown unbiased pictures to tell stories.
